The Ottawa police are investigating a collision between a cyclist and a car at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
According to paramedics, the 13-year-old cyclist was travelling to school along D’Aoust Avenue near Bank Street when they were hit.
Paramedics did not immediately release the teen’s gender.
The victim received head, neck and arm injuries that required paramedics to immobilize the teenager on a backboard and transport them to hospital for further treatment. Paramedics said the teen was in stable condition upon arrival at hospital.
Police have taken over the scene of the collision for investigation.
