Ottawa police and a bailiff shut down the CannaGreen marijuana dispensary Wednesday afternoon.

A pot shop employee was led out in handcuffs and put in a police cruiser.

The landlord had posted an eviction notice Tuesday on the front of the shop in a strip mall on Roydon Place near Merivale and Hunt Club roads.

The shop continued to operate, however, and bailiff Doug Specht said the locks were changed Tuesday night.

A dispensary employee broke into the shop Wednesday morning, he said.

The shop was open for business by late morning.

Just before noon, police and the bailiff arrived, according to the owner of The Hobby Centre next door.

A man was in custody in a police cruiser at the back of the store around 1:45 p.m.

More to come.
