For the first time in a decade, the Dixie Chicks are headlining a tour in North America — including a stop in Ottawa this spring.
The all-female country trio, which railed against U.S. president George W. Bush for his involvement in the Iraq war in 2003, will play Richcraft Live at Canadian Tire Centre as part of their DCX MMXVII World Tour on April 14. The country band, which includes Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire, delves into many genres including country pop, alternative, folk and bluegrass. Some of their more outspoken songs include Goodbye Earl and Not Ready To Make Nice.
They kicked off their tour in June 2016 and have visited more than 40 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada during the past few months.
Tickets, which range between $70 and $130, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
