Provincial police are seeking public assistance in an investigation of a road rage attack Wednesday on Highway 417 near Eagleson Road.
Police said the incident occurred just after 8 p.m. when a westbound black Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck with large tires and a jacked-up suspension in the HOV lane going up Moodie Hill intentionally struck a grey car twice. The grey car pulled over to the right shoulder, followed by the truck, which stopped ahead of the car.
The male suspect from the pickup went to the driver of the car and punched and shoved the victim, before pulling a knife on the car driver.
The victim was able to grab the knife from the truck driver, who became enraged and struck the victim again, before the two men wrestled to the ground.
The truck driver got up and fled, leaving the highway on the Eagleson Road exit.
The suspect is described as a five-feet-eight-inch tall Caucasian man with red hair and an “angular” face.
Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP Const. Steven Stewart at 613-270-9171 or 1-888-310-1122
