Police are asking the public to help them is the search for a knife-wielding man who held up a Pembroke gas bar Tuesday morning.
Wearing a bandana over his face, the man walked into the Esso on Pembroke Street West at about 2 a.m., police said he brandished the weapon at the clerk and demanded cash before fleeing east on foot with his loot.
He is described as a white man about six feet tall wearing a grey hooded jacket with a plaid liner over a brown zip-up jacket, jeans, black boots and black gloves.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pembroke detachment of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP at 613-732-3332 or Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
