A young woman was in critical condition after being struck by a car on Moodie Drive on Friday afternoon.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service confirmed the woman, believed to be in her late teens or early 20s, was crossing the road just north of Carling Avenue when she was hit by a car around 3:30 p.m. Spokesperson J.P. Trottier said the car was travelling at a “high rate of speed” when it struck the woman.
“She suffered life-threatening head injuries, facial injuries and other injuries,” Trottier said.
