There was turkey and all the trimmings at the Salvation Army Ottawa Booth Centre’s annual Christmas dinner on Saturday.

More than 700 guests were expected for the meal that brightened the day for the homeless, the hungry and the lonely.

The dinner on George Street included six sittings, from noon until 5 p.m.

Beyond the turkey and stuffing, there was pie for dessert, and each guest also left with a bag of treats and fruit.
