Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in finding a suspect who held up a store clerk at gunpoint Oct. 30.
Police say the stickup occurred at about 6:30 a.m. when the suspect walked into a conventience store in the 200 block of Parkdale Avenue, pulled a black handgun and demanded the clerk hand over cash and cigarettes.
He was handed a small amount of cash and some packs of cigarettes and he fled. There were no injuries.
He is described as Caucasian in his late 20s, about five feet 10 inches (170 cm) tall, wearing grey sweat pants, white running shoes with red flashes, a black sweatshirt with a hood, and a black baseball cap with a red brim.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ottawa police robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
