A fire-suppression system doused a kitchen blaze in a food court restaurant at Bayshore Shopping Centre on Sunday.
Ottawa firefighters got the call for a working fire at 4:45 p.m., but when they arrived the fire was already out.
Crews remained at the mall to help with water cleanup and ventilation.
No injuries were reported.
