The big pot for Friday night’s Lotto Max draw is soaring higher than Santa’s sleigh, according to OLG, reaching an estimated $60 million with an estimated eight “Max Million” prizes of $1 million each.
Since its launch in 2009, Lotto Max has had three Christmas weekend jackpot wins of $50 million or more.
Two of the Christmas weekend jackpot winners were from Ontario and probably went on to deck their halls with boughs of bills.
If you don’t trust your family’s choice of numbers – we won’t tell them so as not to spoil any holiday dinners – Lotto Max reports the most common numbers drawn are 24 (70 times), seven (67 times), 28 (67 times), 39 (66 times), 19 (64 times) and 12 (63 times). Tied for seventh place with 62 draws over the years were 8, 15 and 30.
You can purchase tickets at OLG retailers or online at PlayOLG.ca until 10:30 p.m. Friday.
