Firefighters battled a major blaze Wednesday that gutted a retail and residential building on the main street of Casselman, about 50 km southeast of Ottawa.
They were called at about 3:30 p.m. to the building housing apartments and Ray Jans Windows and Doors, at 727 Rue Principale, in the village just down the road from Calypso Waterpark.
Firefighters were still one the scene nearly five hours later and the OPP had yet to reopen the street.
