Yvon Bauduy of Gatineau has been identified as the 62-year-old cyclist who was killed New Year’s Day on Highway 105 in Chelsea.
MRC des Collines police said Monday that Bauduy was struck consecutively by two vehicles travelling north on the highway just after 6 a.m.
Bauduy was the only one injured in the crash. He was rushed to the Gatineau Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police said “the investigation has also revealed that a combination of factors contributed to the man’s death,” but did not elaborate on what those factors were.
The two drivers involved will not be facing any charges.
