Two charged, third suspect sought in Rochester Street stabbing

Ottawa police have arrested and charged two people in relation to a stabbing that occurred in Centretown late Jan. 6.

A third suspect in the attack at Rochester and Spruce streets is sought and police issued an alert Friday for public assistance to locate Keluntung (Kel) Samura, 19. He is wanted for attempted murder, conspiracy to commit and indictable offence, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failure to comply with his probation order and failure to comply with recognizance of bail.

According to police, an altercation broke out between several people at around 10:30 p.m.

Specific details about the incident are still scarce, however according to police a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The man needed immediate surgery to treat several stab wounds.

Keiran McBean, 27, of Ottawa is facing charges including assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and accessory after the fact to commit an offence.

A 21-year-old woman, Jodie Duchene, from Ottawa, is also facing a charge of accessory after the fact to commit an offence.
