It’s back on the school bus for Ottawa kids and a so-far trouble-free Wednesday morning commute for the rest of us with more snow on tap for the evening.
Motorists may need to refill the windshield washer fluid to clear all the salty spray from wet roads but OC Transpo was running smoothly and there were no school bus cancellations.
In Gatineau, a labour conflict continues to plague service on the regional STO transit service. Officials urge riders to check ahead for possible cancellations.

Despite predictions of “significant” snowfall, Ottawa registered just 5.6 cm of snow and .8 mm of freezing rain Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Environment Canada is predicting a high of 1 C.
The evening is forecast to be cloudy with periods of snow totalling two cm with fog patches and a low of -2 C.
For Thursday, periods of snow are predicted to drop two cm of white stuff before they end in the afternoon as the temperature drops from zero to -2 C.
It’s forecast to be cloudy with a 40-per-cent chance of flurries Thursday night, Friday and Saturday, when it will start getting colder with a predicted overnight low of -9 C.
