请教个英文问题，media is OR meadia are?

The word media comes from the Latin plural of medium. The traditional view is that it should therefore be treated as a plural noun in all its senses in English and be used with a plural rather than a singular verb: the media have not followed the reports (rather than ‘has’). 查了一下牛津词典，都可以。甚至可以把media当单数，用medias当复数。以前我们英语老师总是用这种事折磨我们，现在知道他是半灌水了。
