Oh, come ON!
A Twitter user spoke for many of us when she surveyed a car blanketed with snow Friday morning, and that was before setting out for a messy commute on snow-covered roads.
The city’s traffic centre reported a flurry of snarls.
Laurier Avenue was reduced to one lane with alternating traffic from Kent to Bank streets due to a fire, dark traffic signals at Riverside Drive and Walkley Road and a crash on the eastbound Hwy. 417 at Hwy. 7 blocking a lane and shoulder.
And there’s more snow on the way through Sunday.
For Friday, Environment Canada is predicting periods of snow perhaps changing to rain near noon with a total of 2-4 cm of white stuff and a high of 2 C.
There’s a forecast 40-per-cent chance of rain showers or flurries Friday night then just flurries after midnight and a low of -2 C.

Saturday’s forecast is for overcast skies to give way to a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 5 C and overnight low of -8 C.
For Sunday, more clouds, a 70-per-cent chance of snow and a high and overnight low of zero. More rain or snow is expected overnight into Monday.
On Monday, the weather agency pegs the chance of rain at 40-per-cent with a high of 2 C, a chance of more rain or snow overnight and a low of zero.
Tuesday is likely to be a wet one with a high of 6 C and a 60-per-cent chance of showers, switching to flurries overnight with a low of -3 C.
Hang in there for Wednesday and Thursday: the forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud and high of 8 C.
