Ottawa police are asking for the public’s assistance to locate a vehicle that was driven away from the scene of a fatal accident on Merivale Road on March 25th.
According to police the driver of the vehicle may have witnessed the crash and could possess information that may help the police with their investigation.
Police investigators believe the witness was traveling southbound on Merivale Road before it was passed by the Honda involved in the single vehicle collision. The Honda struck a utility pole after passing the witness at around 2:30 am. Attempts to identify the witnesses’ vehicle have been unsuccessful so far.
Police describe the vehicle as a dark colour hatch back.
A 27-year-old man was fatally injured in this collision while another 20-year-old man, who was also travelling in the Honda, is still recovering from his injuries in hospital.
