Northbound Hwy. 416 traffic was snarled Friday after a tractor trailer crashed in the wee hours of the morning, spewing a load of water bottles and blocking the lanes near Fallowfield Road.
It finally reopened around 8:15 p.m. after only one northbound lane had been flowing for much of the morning commute.
The City of Ottawa’s traffic centre warned around 3 a.m. that all lanes were closed at Fallowfield due to the crash and the Ottawa fire department tweeted a dramatic photo.
