Our very own Team Canada – Rachel Homan, Emma Miskew, Joanne Courtney, Lisa Weagle, Cheryl Kreviazuk and coach, Adam Kingsbury – have returned victorious from the World Women’s Curling Championship in Beijing and will meet with fans at a special rally at City Hall on Tuesday, April 18.
Mayor Jim Watson and Councillor Jody Mitic, Ottawa’s Sports Commissioner, will be joined by members of the Ottawa Curling Club to celebrate the team’s gold medal victory. Mayor Watson will also present them with a special proclamation.
Date: Tuesday, April 18
Time: noon to 1 p.m.
Place: Jean Pigott Place, Ottawa City Hall
