Three residents escaped unharmed after their Alta Vista house was hit by fire early Saturday.
A resident called shortly after 8 a.m. to say he had spotted smoke coming from the vents of the home at 511 Neighbourhood Way, near Industrial Avenue.
Firefighters arriving at the scene saw smoke and flame along the eaves and declared a working fire.
The fire was out in about 20 minutes and damages are estimated at $50,000.
An investigator has been called.
