The OPP is asking for the public’s help to identify the body of a man found Tuesday night along the shores of the Ottawa River near Wendover, Ont.
The victim is believed to be between 40-50 years old, and was recovered by Hawkesbury OPP’s forensics identification services unit off of Division road in Wendover, a town about an hour’s drive east of Ottawa.
A post mortem examination was performed at Ottawa Hospital, but there was no immediate indication that foul play was involved.
The man is described as being about six feet tall, with a shaved head and facial hair that appeared to be “stubble or unshaven.”
He was wearing size 11, black “Airwalk” running shoes, with a distinctive fluorescent yellow/green sole and tongue; olive-coloured jacket with zipper up the front, a quilted liner and Velcro wrist cuffs; a dark long-sleeved shirt with a knitted greyish/blue coloured sweater over top; black nylon track pants with a two-tone grey strip on the side of the leg, and; white or grey long underwear and maroon thick wool socks.
