To mark National Volunteer Week (April 23 to 29), Her Excellency Sharon Johnston and Mayor Jim Watson will present the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers to deserving Ottawa residents. The honour, created by the Governor General of Canada, recognizes the exceptional volunteer achievements of Canadians from across the country in a wide range of fields.
