Ottawa police have reissued their call for the public’s help to identify suspects in a home invasion near the ByWard market in December.

Investigators have released recently-obtained photos of the suspects.

The invasion took place on the night of Dec. 19, at an apartment along the 1-100 block of Stewart Street. The incident began when the resident answered a knock at the door and three people pushed their way into apartment, demanding the victim’s cell phone. A second occupant of the apartment gave an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspects.

They also gave a debit card, which was used shortly afterwards at a nearby fast food restaurant. No one was injured.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, wearing a black jacket overtop a grey hooded jacket. The second suspect is also described as a black male in his early 20s, with a thin build, wearing a jacket with red and white lettering and stripes on the sleeves, a grey hooded jacket underneath, and black pants. The third suspect is described as a Middle-Eastern male, six feet tall, about 20 years old, wearing a winter vest with a black coat underneath.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa police robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext, 5116. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
