An off-duty paramedic and a nurse are being credited with helping save the life of a 55-year-old man involved in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday in Orléans.
According to paramedics, the victim sustained serious injuries to his left when his motorcycle crashed at about 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Boulevard and St. Jean Street.
Tparamedic and nurse witnessed the crash and moved quickly to stop the blood flow from the man’s leg and stabilize him.
Paramedics took over and the man was taken to hospital for further treatment.
There was no immediate word on his condition at hospital.
A police investigation into the crash continues.
