Police, firefighters and bystanders pitched in to help Tuesday when a man and child fell from a small boat plying an inundated waterfront street in the Masson-Angers area of Gatineau Tuesday.
Three people were aboard the boat when the pair, a father and son, fell from the craft on Chemin du Fer à Cheval, which runs along a spit on the Ottawa River opposite Cumberland.
Gatineau police were in the area patrolling by boat and pulled them from the water in what they say was a team effort.
The victims were taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
