If it felt like you never got out of your wellies this month, there’s good reason – this May has been the wettest in a century.

Rolf Campbell, who tweets as @YOW_Weather, crunched the official numbers and even with days to go, May of 2017 had the most rain since May of 1916.

For Wednesday, Environment Canada forecasts mainly cloudy skies, a 70 per cent chance of afternoon and evening showers and the risk of a thunderstorm with a high of 20 C and low of 11 C.

Looks like June is going to start out wet, too. Thursday is mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers, a risk of a late-afternoon thunderstorm and a high of 16 C.

Thursday is mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers, a risk of a late-afternoon thunderstorm and a high of 16 C.

Friday’s forecast is for clouds, a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 16 C.

Saturday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 22 C.

But then it’s right back to dark skies with clouds, likely showers and highs of 18 C to 20 C forecast through Tuesday.
