Hilton Lac-Leamy security guards discovered a man who’d been shot in a car in a hotel parking lot late Tuesday night, Loto Quebec reports.
They were alerted by 911 calls and a witness who was with the wounded man, who was quickly transported to the Hull Hospital.
The gaming agency says that the victim and witness had arrived by car just before 11:10 p.m. Neither were guests of the adjacent casino or hotel.
Loto Quebec said it’s cooperating with the Gatineau police, which would say only that officers are investigating an incident at the casino and that more details would be forthcoming.
“Our thoughts are with the injured person and his loved ones,” Loto Quebec said.
