A 59-year-old Cornwall man was charged on Tuesday with sexual assault, assault and forcible confinement.
On May 19, a woman was sexually assaulted by a man who held her and prevented her from leaving the residence, said a Cornwall police news release.
James Sproule is being held for a bail hearing.
