A 63-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a car while walking along Country Road 43 in Kemptville Saturday night.
The Ontario Provincial Police confirmed the collision occurred when four people were walking along County Road 43 between County Roads 44 and 19 around 10 p.m.. The man was struck by a westbound vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced deceased.
Technical traffic investigators and forensic identification team were at the scene to determine the cause of the collision. The road was closed and reopened 3 a.m. Sunday.
