Happy summer solstice!

Wednesday is the longest day of the year and it’s one you’ll want to stick around with some sunshine, even if it’s mixed with cloud and a high of 23 C.

The sun rose at 5:14 a.m. and won’t set until 8:54 p.m.

Wednesday night is expected to be clear, but the temperatures will slide to a low of about 12 C.

Environment Canada predicts that Thursday will be mainly sunny with clouds rolling in by afternoon, a high of 23 C and a humidex reading of 26. The low is a forecast 17 C.

For Friday, there’s a 60-per-cent chance of showers, a high of 20 C and a low of 13 C.

Saturday’s forecast is a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 24 C and a low of 12 C.

Sunday is expected to be a mix of sun and cloud, a 40-per-cent chance of showers and a high of just 19 C.

The forecasts for Monday and Tuesday feature a mix of sun and cloud, a 30-per-cent chance of showers and a high of 20 C.
