One man, 25, and one male, 17, have been arrested in connection to the two unrelated stabbings that took place within an hour-and-a-half of each other in the west part of Ottawa on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old whose name cannot be released due to his age is being charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public peace and carrying a concealed weapon. He will be appearing in court at a later date.

At 3: 25 p.m. police were called to the 100 block of Falcon Brook Road in Carp after reports of a 17-year-old male being stabbed by another teenager.

Paramedics said the victim was taken to CHEO with “multiple penetrating trauma wounds.” A police press release said that the victims injuries are non-life-threatening.

The second stabbing took place on Tavistock Road about 23 kilometres away from the first incident.

Samuel Davenport, 25, was arrested in connection to the stabbing. He was charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

Police were called to the 800 block of Tavistock Road at approximately 4:55 p.m. and found a 30-year-old man with stab wounds. The victim had serious injuries and paramedics transported him to the hospital and he is in stable condition.

Davenport appeared in court on Wednesday.
