Officials say Hog’s Back Road has reopened between Prince of Wales and Colonel By drives after it was closed Wednesday afternoon for “emergency repairs.”
Motorists were advised around 2:45 p.m. to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The road reopened about an hour later.
According to the NCC, at issue was a small valve, and a five-cent replacement was expected to be installed.
Hog’s Back Road was also closed Tuesday for what the NCC assumed was the same problem. The issue, however, appeared to clear up on its own before they could spend the nickel.
