The NCC is asking residents to avoid Hog’s Back Road for part of Monday as emergency repairs to the swing bridge have forced the road to be closed.
The road, which runs between Colonel By and Prince of Wales drives, will remain closed to all traffic from 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Police were at the affected intersections to help direct traffic.
The NCC asked residents to find alternate routes to cross the river and canal until the roadway was reopened.
Hog’s Back Road was also closed twice last week for “emergency repairs.”
According to the NCC on Wednesday, at issue was a small valve, and a five-cent replacement was expected to be installed.
On Tuesday, the road was temporarily closed for what the NCC assumed was the same problem, although the issue appeared to clear up on its own.
