Police are hunting for a purse-snatcher who left a woman in her 70s with a leg fracture suffered during the struggle for her bag.
It happened on July 4 at about 2:55 p.m.
The woman was standing on Rideau Street near Nelson Street when the man grabbed her purse, dragging her to the ground. He fled but was pursued by two passersby who briefly caught him and recovered the bag before he escaped.
The suspect is described as 35-40 years old, Caucasian, five-feet-10-inches to six-feet-one-inch tall with a medium to large build.
He has small, widely-spaced teeth, a pock-marked and unshaven face and short dark hair.
