Two people were injured and a resident has been displaced following an early morning house fire in the Tunney’s Pasture area.
A man phoned 911 at about 2:30 a.m. to report his home at 227 Carleton Ave. was filled with smoke. He told dispatchers he had already inhaled a great deal of smoke and paramedics were looped into the call.
Firefighters found a fully engaged fire in the one-and-a-half storey, detached home and began suppression operations.
The fire was declared to be under control about one hour later.
In addition to resident, a firefighters was transported to hospital for treatment of minor burns.
A fire investigator was called to the scene, but no cause or damage estimate was yet available.
