Bye, bye sun.
On a gorgeous Monday Ottawans marvelled at a partial eclipse of the sun and rockers Guns N’ Roses played Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun in homage.
For Tuesday, rain clouds will roll in to do the job.
Environment Canada predicts a mix of sun and cloud but for Tuesday morning there’s a 40 per cent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm. Then showers or a few thunderstorms are expected to begin near noon.
Between 15 and 25 mm is expected with southwest winds at 30 km/h gusting to 50 and a high of 27 C that will feel more like 35.
The wet stuff is predicted to end by Tuesday evening but there’s a 30 per cent chance of more showers and a low of 14 C.

Expect a mix of sunny and cloudy skies Wednesday with a 30 per cent chance of afternoon showers and a high of 21 C and an overnight low of 10 C.
Thursday’s forecast is a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 21 C and a single digit low. At 8 C, it will be cool but nothing to rival the 4.7°C record set in 1982.
A mix of sun and cloud is again in the forecast for Friday and Saturday with highs of 21 C and 23 C and lows of 9 C and 10 C respectively.
Sunday is sunny and 22 C. So’s Monday with a high of 23 C.
