A 36-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving in connection with a collision on Hwy. 7 in Carleton Place that left one person with serious injuries.
Roy Radke has been charged with dangerous driving, impaired driving causing bodily harm and driving with more than the legal blood-alcohol limit, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
The crash occurred just after 5 p.m. on Sept. 1 on Hwy. 7 between Hwy. 15 and Napoleon Street in Carleton Place.
Two vehicles, including the Acura driven by Radke, and three motorcycles were involved in the crash, according to the OPP. One person sustained major injuries and two people had minor injuries.
The road was closed for about eight hours and reopened at about 1 a.m. Saturday.
