A barn fire that broke out about 1 p.m. has caused police to close Prince of Wales Drive in both directions.
The barn is a little north of Fallowfield Road.
“Initial reports are that there are cattle inside,” said an Ottawa fire spokeswoman, but she didn’t yet have full information.
The Ottawa International Airport announced on Twitter that smoke is visible around the airport.
