An elderly woman was airlifted to the hospital Friday afternoon in stable condition after a crash at Dwyer Hill and Rogers Stevens drives near North Gower.
Two other occupants suffered minor injuries, paramedics said.
As of mid-afternoon, the road was closed and motorists being asked to avoid the area.
Fire services reported that they needed to free one person from a pick-up truck that landed on its side as an Ornge air ambulance was landing to take the patient to the hospital.
City paramedics hailed the teamwork between city fire and police services, Leeds and Grenville paramedics and Ornge.
