Another sticky summer day on Monday followed by a week of more heat

Ottawa’s Monday forecast is so sticky that a shower might be a welcome cool off.

The forecast is for sunshine turning to a mix of sun and cloud near noon and a high of 28 C that will feel like 35 with the humidity. There’s a 30 per cent chance of late-evening and overnight showers and a low of 15 C.

For Tuesday, Environment Canada predicts a mix of sun and cloud and a 30 per cent chance of afternoon showers with the chance of a thunderstorm. The forecast high is 26 C and a humidex of 31. There’s a 30 per cent chance of overnight showers and low of 15 C.

Then it’s back to pure sunshine and highs in the mid-20s, rising to near 30 C for the weekend.

Wednesday’s forecast high is 26 C and low is 11 C. Thursday is 26 C, dipping to 12 C overnight. On Friday, the mercury is expected to rise to 26 C with a low of 14 C.

Then Saturday and Sunday continue the July-in-September run with forecast sunshine and highs of 29 C.
