The return of the autumn leaves in the capital brings the annual Fall Rhapsody shuttle service, with a new departure point from the ByWard Market.

The new stop — added by the National Capital Commission as part of Canada’s 150th anniversary — will link to Gatineau Park’s most popular destinations: Pink Lake, the Mackenzie King Estate, King Mountain and Champlain Lookout.

“The National Capital Commission’s free shuttle from the ByWard Market to Gatineau Park will provide a convenient and environmentally sustainable way for residents and visitors to discover the fall colours of Canada’s Capital conservation park,” said Dr. Mark Kristmanson, the NCC’s chief executive officer.

The shuttle will run for the four weekends of Fall Rhapsody 2017. Dates include: Sept. 30 and Oct. 1; Oct. 7, 8 and 9; Oct. 14 and 15; and Oct. 21 and 22

The ByWard Market schedule will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Gatineau Park shuttle will leave every 20 minutes from Sussex-York.

The free shuttle from Camp Fortune to the lookouts run from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Camp Fortune–Champlain Lookout shuttle will run every 15 minutes.
