A Gatineau man carrying two bottles of gasoline and a lighter when stopped by police early Sunday morning has been charged with arson, possession of incendiary materials and mischief in connection with three recent incidents at a store on Saint-Joseph Boulevard.
Gatineau police say a detailed description of a suspect was given to patrol officers in connection with an investigation into arson and mischief at a store at 569 Saint-Joseph Blvd. between Sept. 13 and 21.
Officers arrested the 31-year-old man around 3:20 a.m. Sunday as he was walking at the intersection of Marengère Street and Saint-Joseph Boulevard.
Anas Abdessadek was scheduled to appear in the Court of Québec on Monday.
