Construction is complete for the extension of Brian Coburn Boulevard, which connects Mer Bleue Road to Navan Road, and the roadway is now open to residents.
In March 2016, work began on the new two-lane roadway, which spans 2.5 kilometres and includes:
The Brian Coburn Boulevard extension is part of the 2031 Road Network Concept recommended by the City’s Transportation Master Plan, developed to accommodate expected growth in peak period commuting by providing increased capacity in key travel corridors around Ottawa.

- Roundabouts at the intersections of Navan Road and Fern Casey Street;
- A westbound bike lane;
- A multi-use pathway along the south side of the corridor;
- New storm sewers;
- One new signalized pedestrian crossing at Page Road;
- Streetlighting and landscaping.
