A little boy who just couldn’t wait to get out into the world made a speedy but healthy début in an ambulance early Wednesday morning.
Mom and baby are both doing well, the paramedic service reports.
Paramedics Matt Friesen and Courtney Healey were called to Carling Avenue and Bayshore Drive to the woman in her late 30s having her fourth baby.
They were almost at the General campus of the Ottawa Hospital when the pair had to pull over near the intersection of Smyth Road and Alta Vista Drive to deliver the baby.
He arrived at 5:23 a.m.
