Make sewage cleanup a priority, Riverkeeper tells Gatineau candidates

The Ottawa Riverkeeper wants Gatineau election candidates to make it a priority to stop sewage overflows into the Ottawa River.

Riverkeep and the Friends of Brewery Creek have collected five years of data from tests looking for E. coli bacteria in the creek.

“The findings are troubling,” Riverkeeper says in an announcement Tuesday.

It’s going to release the whole report and recommendations Wednesday, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Les Brasseurs du Temps.

Anyone with an interest in Brewery Creek and its neighbourhood is invited.
