深有同感

看了BYE的贴子深有同感。
这件事完全应是政府出面来做的，米国就是如此。而加国的汽油税比米国高多了。
我的车三月在米国做的年检(也是两年一次)， 六月来到OTTAWA，EMMISION & SAFETY 总共花了六百多(CANADIAN TIRE)， 很难让人相信没有一点猫腻。

I guess it's different from place to place. Safety check is once a year here at where I live.

Also, the gas is cheaper in states, but I pay property tax on my car (around $500 for my new accord, going down to $300 somthing after two years now). No property tax on car in Ontario, right? So, when you add up, it can be more expensive here in states if you don't drive much....

i know there was a 93 escort which passed the emmision without any problem. how many of you have problem to pass the emmision test?

Never go to Canadian Tire, they are new learner and expensive charger.
