Gatineau police have organized search teams around Aylmer Marina and Moussette Beach in the continued hunt for Bernard Lachance, 70, who has been missing since Monday.

They also urge residents to check any places on their properties such as backyards, sheds or wooded areas where Lachance might have taken shelter overnight.

They also caution searchers to only travel through woods they are familiar with.

Lachance was last seen Monday morning as he headed out for his daily walk, which normally includes the Voyageurs Trail.

He’s described as Caucasian, five feet nine inches tall, bald with brown eyes and glasses. He was last seen wearing a gray windbreaker and dark pants.

His family is concerned for his well-being as he requires daily medication.

Anyone with information on his disappearance is asked to call Det.-Sgt. Marc-André Legault at 819-243-2345, ext. 6076, or 819-246-0222.
