Ottawa police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 34-year-old Ottawa man in connection with a pharmacy robbery.
The police service robbery unit has laid charges relating to the theft of cash in a holdup at a pharmacy on Holland Avenue, near Inglewood Place, in August 2015. Police say two suspects entered the pharmacy and issued a note demanding narcotics.
When no narcotics were available, a demand was made for cash, police said. The suspects, in disguise, left the premises with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries in the incident.
Jayson Cayer was charged with robbery, disguise with intent and breach of recognizance. Efforts to locate Cayer have been unsuccessful and a warrant has been issued. Cayer is described as 5-6, 150 pounds with blond hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery or Cayer’s whereabouts was asked to contact the robbery unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116 or call Crime Stoppers.
