A family of four has been displaced after a fire ripped through their Stittsville home on Saturday afternoon.
Ottawa Fire Services received a 911 call around 2:30 p.m. reporting smoke at a home on 27 Woodwind Cres. After arriving, firefighters confirmed the exterior backside of the single-family bungalow was on fire, and extinguished the blaze about 13 minutes later. Crews continued to battle a fire in the attic and roof area of the home.
The family — two adults and two children — had already evacuated the home and will be helped by victim services.
There were no injuries.
An investigator was on scene, and damage and cause had not yet been determined.
