Weather: A bit of sunshine lights up the forecast

After Tuesday’s weather whiplash from-13.7 C to 11 C, temperatures return to more typical territory with days above freezing and even some sunshine.

For Wednesday, Environment Canada is predicting a high of 1 C and low of -9 C. Morning fog was forecast to turn into a 30 per cent chance of showers but skies become mainly sunny near noon and gusty winds drop off as the mercury drops to -2 C by afternoon.

Thursday is expected to be increasingly cloudy with flurries or showers beginning near noon and a few afternoon showers. The high is 4 C and low is -2 C.

Friday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 1 C and low of -7 C.

Expect the same Saturday except the overnight low should be about -1 C with a 30 per cent chance of flurries.

For Sunday, the forecast is a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 5 C and low of -4 C.

Mixed skies are expected again Monday with a high of 2 C but clouds are exected to roll in overnight with a low of O Cand a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain, with the risk of showers lingering into Tuesday with a forecast high of 3 C.
